It was a lazy Saturday but I had to wake up early to sit for an exam in city centre. So happened that this cafe is situated not far away from the exam centre hence I paid a visit.
It is strategically situated at the basement, which the crowd would pass by if they walk into Avenue K.
The cafe gave me a strong, woody, and cultured ambiance. It's nicely furnished although the floor space isn't that big.
I looked at the menu. Pretty basic, nothing overwhelming but it's good for a casual breakfast.
Ordered a big breakfast. There's a reason to it, simple because I'm comparing the big breakfast across the cafés which I have visited.
It's good I would say, looking at the way they cooked the ingredients. The baked beans are freshly prepared, not the usual canned food. Scrambled eggs were smooth and moderately cooked. Some other cafés do it over-cooked. I just love the potatoes. The chef diced it into well-sized pieces and added flavours to it with a little garlic. Not too strong, just perfectly done.
I completed the breakfast with a cup of earl grey tea that came in a pot. Along with that was a filter, something interesting indeed. Unlike most of the other cafés, this cafe serves tea leaves and not the conventional and boring tea bags.
I would definitely come back again for the food and tea. It's one of the good ones that I have come across.
It's my recommendation, foodiegoestravel' s selection.
Cheers !
