We drove down to Malacca in the morning and arrived approximately at 10am.
10AM-11.30AM - Breakfast
We went straight to the famous Chicken rice shop (beside Hard Rock Cafe), adjacent to Jonker Street. The queue was building up, as early as that. It took us about an hour to get seated.
P/s It is advised to place 1 order per table. No add-ons would be entertained as the crowd is insanely huge, all lining up for the fragrant chicken rice!
Hot weather ! Let's have Cendol ! We ordered 2 different flavours. One without durian and another one with durian. The Gula Melaka (brown sugar syrup) elevated the taste of the plan shaved ice. Blending it with evaporated milk and mix the whole bowl of beans. It's just so good.
It's lunch time ! I'm not kidding you! Yes, we are having lunch right after chicken rice and cendol!
This particular cafe has been introduced in previous post. _ click here to read.
Calanthe Art cafe is a must-go in Malacca. Not only because of it's awesomelicious food, but it also has great ambiance.
Drink a cuppa coffee in an 'antique' like shop. Chill with some oldies. That makes a perfect afternoon.
Calanthe Golden Rice - served with Rendang Chicken. The meat is tendered and not too spicy. Love the chilli paste. It's sweet and hot at the same time.
Calanthe Laksa - served with stuffed bean curd and fish balls. Choice of meehoon/kuey teow/noodles
Green Tea Latte - oh! it's heavenly. Not too strong, just smooth !
Cucumber soother - Not too vege but refreshing with a slight taste of lemon.
Price range : RM10-20 per item. Average spending around RM15 per head.

Why not take walk around the town? Pay a visit to Qing Yun Temple, it's just behind Jonker street. A nicely built Chinese ancient temple. St. Paul church , which was built in year 1521 is also a famous landmark of Malacca besides the popular A'Famosa.
Enough of walking ! Such hot weather and we were sweating a lot.
A good place to chill would be Case del Rio hotel cafe.
There's something that we love about this cafe. Friendly staff and also the Nyonya Pie Tie. It's only RM10 for 8 pieces. Crispy and healthy choice for tea break.

Coconut shake is like a geographical indication of Klebang in Malacca. People actually queue up an hour or two just to get it. Crazy? I think so. It's nothing great, the Vanilla ice cream had overpowered the original taste of the coconut. However, it's very affordable I would say. For a price of RM2 (without ice-cream) and RM2.50 (with ice-cream), it's still good to cool you down under the insanely hot sun.
12.30pm-6.30pm daily (Friday: 2pm-6.30pm)
You may consider using this post as a guideline to expire the essence of Malacca town. Do tell us what other good food you have come across in Malacca =) Have fun !
